Pre-MacintoshPlus ROMs

Macintosh 128k ROMs had chip codes which began with the letters L and H and so were therefore nicknamed "Lonely Hearts" (or the other way around).

The later 32-bit-wide ROMs (for the 68020 and 68030 CPUs) used the letters A, B, C, D ("Ala Baster Can Delabra"). These were the development names for the ROMs and in result the name's initials were given to the ROM.

There's a unique series of L & H names. L is for Low. H is for High. They are the two portions of the old 2-chip ROM set. The acronyms are often used in many different ways... Loenly Hearts and Lonely Heiffer are jus two of them.
