in the 21st Century - interesting observations on how
information is going to effect our society.
- Out
of Control by Kevin Kelly - a very casually written
look at various topics about the future (including better
information environments).
- War
In The Age of Intelligent Machines by Manuel De Landa
- a look into the "shift in the relation of human beings
both to machines and to information". Written from the
perspective of a future robot historian looking back.
- Understanding
Media by Marshall McLuhan - a futurists pretty
accurate ramblings, written decades ago. Interesting
reflections on the information age and computers.
